Film workshop, hosted by producer and filmmaker Daniela Gracindo, gives children and young people aged 8 to 17 the opportunity to turn their ideas into a film.
The YOUNG FILMMAKER WORKSHOP occurs since 2009 and has worked with around 250 children and young people in Brazil. In 2010, the International Young Filmmaker Festival – FIPC, held annually in Rio de Janeiro, screened films made entirely by children and young people from around the world.
Since its debut, the event has reached an estimated total audience of 22,500 people. The success of the project lead to Daniela Gracindo being invited to take it to other countries such as Denmark, Portugal, Venezuela and Spain.
In partnership with Instituto Cervantes, the Young Filmmaker Workshop is open for subscriptions for its VACATION COURSE, beginning on July 15.
It will be six days of an intense experience mediated by the creator of the project. Students will get a piece of the action by learning the steps of the filming process in practice, from scriptwriting, camera operation, lighting, art, direction, sound and editing, and of course, the experience of watching their own finished film.
In the end, each class will have produced a short film, which will be shown on the 8th edition of the International Young Filmmaker Festival – FIPC on October 2019.
